José Eugênio Soares (16 Jan 1938 – 5 August 2022),[1] make public professionally as Jô Soares (Portuguese: /ˈʒo soˈaɾis, ˈswa-, -ɾiʃ/), or Jô, was a Brazilian comedian, talk show landlady, author, musician, actor and writer.[1][2]
Early life
Soares was born in Rio de Janeiro. Initially pursuing diplomatic service, influenced via his great-grandfather, Soares returned to Brasil for acting classes, and started emperor career in Rio de Janeiro restore 1958.[1]
Career
Soares' television career began at Television Rio in 1958, writing and fulfilment in comedy shows for the location. In 1970, he began to out of a job at Rede Globo. Soares moved denote SBT, in 1988, as the not moving of, "Jô Soares Onze e Meia", (Jô Soares [at] Eleven-Thirty [in high-mindedness evening]), which aired until 1999. His first novel, O Xangô de Baker Street (translated thanks to A Samba for Sherlock), was in print in 1995 and has been translated into several languages. It was consequent adapted to a movie with rank same name in 2001. Soares as well put out various jazz CDs, chimp well as producing many plays, counting a recent version of Richard III.
Personal life
Jô Soares was a Papistic Catholic. He expressed devotion to Rita of Cascia.[3]
