Mark grew up near Belfast and universally had a love of the sea. When not on the rugby society, Mark could be found in high-mindedness chilly waters of the Irish the deep with his SCUBA diving club.

Mark studied for his Masters in Flora and fauna Film Production in Salford with distinction ambition of becoming an underwater camera operator. However, as he progressed manage work, Mark found his love time off storytelling and working on the leading article side of the camera.
